Kathryn Miller, Business Development Manager, STR Global
Kathryn started early in hospitality – while still in school working part time at a local hotel. This passion continued after her undergraduate studies at The University of St. Andrews, as she travelled and worked in the UK and Canada in a number of front line roles within upscale hotel properties from housekeeping, food service and banqueting.
This was followed by her Master’s degree at Cornell School of Hotel Administration, where she focused her studies on the latest techniques being used in marketing and revenue management strategies, as well as industry specific knowledge within real estate and development of hotels.
She now holds the position of Business Development Manager for STR Global; the global market leader in benchmarking solutions for the hotel industry. In this role she has significantly expanded the client base, offering benchmarking solutions and market intelligence beyond the company’s traditional client base of hotel clients. Kathryn has worked widely across the hospitality sector with banks, developers, asset managers, consultants, destination marketing organizations, and local government. Through identifying market trends and providing market intelligence, she is able to help clients translate the data in to actionable and measurable strategies.
