Hakan Ozkasikci, Director of Architecture, InterContinental Brand, Europe
As an architect and designer, Hakan worked on a significant number of high calibre hospitality and high end residential projects in Turkey, Kazakhstan, Seychelles, South Africa, Indonesia, Singapore, USA, Croatia and Montenegro. Hakan is the Director of Architecture, Europe, and he is the custodian of IHG Branded hotels in his region both for managed and franchised properties. Representing the largestfranchise chain in the world, Hakan is keen on seeking efficiency in any given hotel in terms of operation and energy consumption, all the while when keeping the design up to date, being proactive during the design phase, and to direct the design process together with the owners’ consultants to achieve a shortROI. This tendency has led to a detailed pursuit of the new-and-coming guest profile and the related change in the hospitality industry; a topic on which Hakan has been invited to deliver keynote speeches and partake in panels indifferent high calibre international venues for the last three years. Design as a whole is his passion to experience the world. He is a motivated traveller to explore architectural and culinary trends, and an ever loyal pupil on all aspects of classical motorcycling.
